
MISSION
Brain Surgeon Theater creates original ensemble-based plays, rock musicals, dance shows, camps, and other performance events; we also serve as a home for a variety of other projects developed by our company members. We strive to create fresh, vibrant work that brings together a wide variety of theater artists of all ages, experience, and type. Our approach to creating art is interdisciplinary, layered, and ambitious. We work with artists from all backgrounds who wish to collaborate on highly unusual pieces with strong stories and strong actor-generated character work. We believe in the power of the collaborate process and the discipline of bringing new pieces to life to the absolute best of our abilities.
HISTORY
Brain Surgeon Theater was founded in February 2007. Past productions include Caves!, Zombie Project: The Sad World, Johnny Ten Bones, and Post-Christmas Spectacular 1976. The Brain Surgeons have now expanded into Two Afternoons of Summer Dance, Mystery Cabaret: We're All Mad Here, and 1512 West Studebaker Place. a summer dance show (Two Afternoons of Summer Dance), a summer camp (Brain Arts Camp), and a variety of other projects.
